gender check ? Aquaculture Forum - so to name your fish ?
- get a mate?
>been reading a lot in forums about determining sex of fish, so now they can be accurately sexed thru observation?
>ITs only guideline for big aro ards 5 yrs above。。
Again not very accurate as most hobbyists overfeed aro。。

- get a mate? personally i find that its important to have a gender check as i prefer to have male arowana over female arowana, because i already experience twice my arowanas died with eggs in the stomach。

top is female (shorter jaw) , bottom is male (long jaw for future brooding) thanks for the pictures, its quite true as both my fishes also got shorter jaws。
they died at below 3 years from the date of the certificate, which means i keep them around 2 years plus。
from young around 6 inches i feed them millworms, project stingray then around 12inches i change to SWs, small froggies。。。。。
around 15 inches change to medium size BFs, centipedes, SWs, crickets (when they dont eat anything), and MP。。。。。。
around 18 inches mp, BFs, pellets and earthworms (once a month)
Hope this informations helps in your findings!
