Cycle incomplete?

My nitrite levels have already gone down, but my ammonia levels are still not at 0ppm。 Hoping someone could explain whats happening and how to get the ammonia to 0ppm。Cycle incomplete? AROWANA Forum

too much ammonia and too little bb to convert to nitrite。 what is the ph?
>Somewhere between 6。8 and 7。2。 It hard to see the ph levels on the chart as 6。8, 7。0 amd 7。2 look VERY similar。
>Can try to bring up the Ph to 7。6 on the chart after fully cycled for the bb and fishes。 Can get the high range Ph test kit。 Feed lesser and water change to bring the the ammonia。 I see the ammonia is 0。 Photo is hard to show the real colour。 You have to judge yourself。
>My 2 cents。
One will never achieve 0 ammonia in the water as long as there are livestocks。 I will continue feeding but monitoring it; not overfeed and accumulate leftovers in water, and slightly more wc。 Giving time for the tank to cycle in a few weeks to a month time; bb eventually will grow and built up。
>I think I found the source of the access ammonia。 I found a dead fish hiding behind my powerhead。
>i just done water change and tested for ammonia。 mine is bright yellow like yours。 it should be 0 ammonia。 if is 0。25 then is greenish yellow。 your tank should be fully cycled。 can try to up the ph to high 7 slowly。

This can be a real headache sometimes。 No joke。 Just sharing from experience。
Just mid this year,MALAYSIA GOLDEN AROWANA I overhaul my entire tank sump。 Using API master test kit。 Older NITRITE test liquid shows not zero though not expired yet。 But brand new bottle expiring 2018 shows ZERO。
These things sometimes can be a real headache。 But by looking at your parameters, should be cycled already。 If you are still concerned, just wait a couple more days and monitor your NITRATE levels see if it still comes down just to be sure。
Cycled tank parameters >;>;
AMMONIA = 0
NITRITE = 0
NITRATE = Very rare zero
PH= Depending on what fishes you keeping
