from 6 inches till 18 inches, average out。。at least 1 inches per mth, while some may 2-3 inches a month, after 18inches, e growth rate will slow down, but genes also play a part。
as some gets very big, some stuck at certain sizes。

as some gets very big, some stuck at certain sizes。 I agree with this,
i have owned Jardinii, Silver, black, 1。5 red, vip red, rtg。
All have one thing on common, 1 inch per month is considered to be good。
maybe in a HUGE pond or tank, you can get 1。5 to 2。
BUT that is a huge amount of growth。
I find, LOTS of food, good water, good filter。。 you can easily get 1 inch per month up to 45 cms。 Then it will slow down。
even if you feed a lot, length will slow down, girth will take over。
girth as in thickness of the body vertically and horizontally。

what is the avg growth rate of arowana a AROWANA Forum after 45 cms。 yOU will find that it can be different for each fish。
Arowanas at 45 cms tend to grow in SPURTS。
you get a growth spurt, suddenly over 1 week they grow and spurt
it doesnt seem to be a steady constant growth。
i always look out for the new fins and tail growth。
the thin white rims of the tain and fin tips。。。 this indicates growth and new fins growing。
During small size, the aro will have this permanently, should have this。
>I have kept both G1 reds and Xbs,
G1 red tend to grow slightly faster than XBs, however, do becareful not to pump them too fast if not they will look like fish that are underdeveloped for their size eg! red not red, XB no pearlies / slow crossing even though they have reached certain size。 Fish that are overfed sometimes also produce ";oily waste";。
G1 red about about 1-1。5"; a month till 20";
XB about 1"; a month till 15-16";
these were my observations from my fishes and only a personal reference。
Fishes all kept in individually tank with 2/3 tank mates and wc once a week with daily feeding of mp + 2-3 sw
>Thanks
Will housing the Arowana in a bigger tank promote growth too。
I。e。 an Arowana has a higher tendency to grow bigger in a 6 x 2。5 x 2。5 feet tank rather than a 5 x 2 x 2 tank。

>I do not hv a large tank。
