BD Price Trending

BD Price TrendingAll Bros, we have seen how GHXB, XBXB prices dropped。 Pardon my ignorant but my observation seems to point that there seems to be more supplies of BD rays i。e LFS, hobbyists and even students are breeding them。 Seems that a lot of hobbyist are not buying BD Male too。 Of cos many will say good pieces will still comment a premium but now a piece of 70-90% GHXB cost only ard $1,000 when it used to cost ard $2,000。 How ah? And breeding BD are easier than Aro since they breed easily in tanks。。。

Hi Bro, what I meant is they can be breed from tank or FGT。 Hardly Aro can be breed via tank or FGT。 I have not started breeding them yet。 1st pair of BD dies cos I didnt take care of the water well。 They are much more sensitive than Aro。 Bought 3 pieces not long ago after learning how to manage my water better。 Now they are healthy。 Just that in the midst of searching for BD, a lot of sellers will flood you with BDs and surprisingly some are students who have not even attended NS。 I still buy from experienced breeders who produce quality pup。 Look at the marketplace and some of the post from hobbyists sharing their pups born in their tanks, seems much easier than Aro le。。。and sellers are letting go of their BD at lower rate now。

as for the sellers, dun think too much。。 heehee i can also breed and den pass to someone else to sell cos my face cannot be shown。。 if u know at i mean
anyway dun be sensitive hor, i am talking abt myself cos i dun wan to show my face。。 so when my pups are ready for sale, i will pass to someone else to sell on my behalf
not fair to compare the breeding of aro and rays cos they are totally different。。 first thing first, not many ppl can differentiate a male and female aro liao, how to pair them?
>Is BD price really going cheap ?。。。 Tell me。。。 i also want to get。。。
>I am no ray or aro breeder。 But would just like to state my opinion on this topic。 Firstly, the operational cost to maintain rays in terms of their diet,Aquarium water quality and all in general is not cheap (I believe many out there will agree)。 And the problem with many supplies that come in from different sources always try to outsell others by lowering their prices (Its a singapore tactic, trust me)。 So the prices will definitely go down, but many dont understand the prices fish command is never concrete or definite in many aspects。
I think STINGRAY Guru can share much more on this based on his vast experience
Those above are just my sentiments, not targeted at any one at all。
Thanks
>Throughout history, no fish has remained there unaffected price wise in history。 First u have the fad in monster fishes, then the IT, pleco, Birchir and even ray。 When things are in demand, people will find a way to produce more。 Price will come to a market standard where no special efforts will be deemed worthwhile to purposely produce them。 This is the concept of demand and supply。

Yup heard of Aro breed in tank but chances is low。 Pairing me is already a challenge。 Haha yah man I heard a lot just breed and pass all to reseller to remarket to hobbyists。 Most of them are actually damn rich hobbyists who have no time to entertain potential buyers。 Now seems breeders are looking to export to China。 China is a super big market。 Good rays are still hard to find ie white diamond rays。 Haha I wont be sensitive la, its an open chat in this forum le。
Yah man, I cant identity male n female Aro man。 Ray is easy。 But still prices for Rays seems to be coming down。 I hope those professional breeders continue to breed but those who ";part time"; investors dont disturb people rice bowl la。 Anyhow dump price and quality at times also questionable。。。theres a few students, every pic I show them, they said BD Leo but they rays all they say 100% pure BD。 When I compare again, no diff le。 Im no expert but still can see if theres diff or no diff cos I played photo hunt 10+ years back thus can spot different le。 Haha
>Originally Posted by bravobb Is BD price really going cheap ?。。。 Tell me。。。 i also want to get。。。 Male ard $1,200-$1,500 and female ard $1,800-$2,200 for a 5-6 inch pup。 Dont quote me, these are from what I have shopped ard in recent months。 Quality plays apart。 Lower quality, in market place people selling $2,000+ One pair。 Those super big dots with full skirting female should be well above $2,800 and white diamonds are of cos much much ex。 But compare to few months back, seems cheaper le。 I may be wrong thus seeking views。 Cos I wanna buy more but dont wanna next time all grows big liao, no where to let go if I cant house them。 Loss to much also v sad la。 Haha

Thanks I agreed with what you said bro。 Its not cheap to keep n breed them。 Just like now many Aro farms closed down and many who survived are breeding rays too。 Market trend, they have to adapt otherwise they will suffer。 Buying a pair of F0 BD breeding stock is no joke for normal hobbyists like us。 If prices drop, quality may drop too and it forces all nice rays to be exported。 You know why Singapore is getting lesser nicer durians? Bcos all are export to China。 They are paying higher price for quality stuff。 Haiz
